We have some big news to share about an exciting new project in collaboration with the HGTV Dream Home 2011. HGTV, a top-rated network in home and lifestyle programming, is giving one lucky viewer the chance to win a modern, alpine lodge in Stowe, Vermont. The winner of the 15th HGTV Dream Home 2011 grand prize package will also win a 2011 GMC Acadia Denali, five hundred thousand dollars in cash AND every single item in the house.
So how does MMWA fit in? The public is invited to tour the HGTV Dream Home 2011 January 7 - March 20, and all proceeds from the tours benefit us! This is an incredible opportunity for MMWA, and we are responsible for organizing the tour logistics, reservations, and staffing the volunteer tour guides.
If you are interested in helping out with this project, here is some key information:
- Public tours begin on Friday, January 7, 2011, and continue through Sunday, March 20, 2011.
- The tours take place Friday through Sunday, every half hour, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tours begin and end at Spruce Camp, Stowe Mountain Resort.
- Tickets cost $20 per person.
We are seeking volunteers who would be interested in learning about the house, staffing different zones inside the house, and greeting guests while tours are in progress. Here is what is involved:
- An initial training session on the HGTV Dream Home 2011.
- Minimum of a three-day commitment.
- Availability in January, February, and/or March.
- Availability Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
We are thrilled to be part of the HGTV Dream Home 2011, and hope you will consider participating in this fund-raising effort as a volunteer or will visit the house for a tour. Details on ticket sales are forthcoming.
